Role: Senior UX/UI Designer
Timeline: Feb 2025 – Jun 2025
Type: Enterprise / Internal Platform
Overview
Project Context
At JPMorgan, I worked on improving internal tools used by teams to manage complex workflows. The platform had grown over time, and while it was functional, it had become inconsistent and difficult to navigate.
Role
I was responsible for:
● Identifying usability gaps across the platform
● Collaborating with product managers and engineers
● Contributing to design system improvements
Duration
5 Months
Team
Collaboration with Product Manager & Developers
Tools used
Figma, After Effects, Adobe Illustrator, InVision
Problem Statement
Users were dealing with fragmented experiences across different parts of the system. Common issues included:
● Inconsistent UI patterns
● Confusing navigation between workflows
● Too many steps to complete simple tasks
This led to slower task completion and a higher dependency on training.
Approach
I worked closely with stakeholders and reviewed existing user behavior and feedback to understand where friction existed.
From there:
● Mapped out key user flows to identify bottlenecks
● Simplified information architecture to make navigation more intuitive
● Introduced consistent design patterns aligned with a shared design system
● Created prototypes to validate improvements with the team
Solution
The focus was on simplifying workflows and bringing consistency across the experience.
Key improvements:
● Streamlined multi-step processes into more manageable flows
● Standardized UI components across different sections of the platform
● Improved hierarchy and clarity of information
Impact
While this was an internal tool, the improvements helped:
● Reduce friction across core workflows
● Improve overall usability and navigation clarity
● Make the platform easier for new users to learn
Reflection
This project reinforced the importance of consistency in enterprise design. Even small UI differences can create confusion at scale. Aligning design patterns across teams made a noticeable difference in usability
